Inspection & Security

Compact video links for infrastructure, plant and perimeter work — close and mid-range inspection with live imagery.

What this is

Inspection work happens close to the asset, often with structures between the aircraft and the ground station. The link has to hold a clean video channel at short and mid range while the platform moves around towers, roofs and plant.

The catalog's airborne and video families cover the 10–30 km class with 24–80 Mbps peak throughput and Ethernet, serial and SBUS interfaces. Smaller modules keep the payload budget free for cameras and gimbals.

Selection factors

What to weigh before shortlisting a model.

Range class for the asset

Most inspection missions sit inside 10–30 km. Choose the smallest range class that covers the site; extra range costs mass and power.

Obstructions and geometry

Towers, buildings and terrain interrupt the path. Plan antenna placement and ground-station height around the asset, not just the distance.

Video interface and camera control

Ethernet carries the video; SBUS and serial carry gimbal and camera control. The J30 family exposes the fullest interface set in the catalog.

Latency and live review

A 150 ms class maximum latency keeps the operator's view aligned with the aircraft during close work.

Portability

Inspection crews move between sites. The Micro and Standard modules and the VG-series ground stations pack into a single case.

Test footage

Recordings from the manufacturer's own test programme — bench, field, and flight tests, each shown with the conditions it was run under.
